    Amid battered economy, veterans turn to start-ups

    While the number of veterans struggling to find employment in the workforce is daunting, some troops are taking matters into their own hands and starting their own companies. 

    “There’s a higher tolerance for failure coming from the military,” veteran and entrepreneur Shaun So told CNBC. “We’ve been told ‘no’ a lot of times, and still had to press on. Part of the job of being an entrepreneur is being able to take a no.”  Read the full story on CNBC.com.

    Medal of Honor winners ring the NYSE closing bell

     

    Thirty recipients of the U.S. Medal of Honor, the highest award for valor that can be given to a member of the armed forces, rang the New York Stock Exchange closing bell Tuesday.
